Moving from this World to Another
The grain within an offcut of a naturally oily wood suggested a simple image which, with the application of oil paint, evolved into a shrouded character progressing from one place to another.
From there on in AMA simply painted outward.
Transfigured Landscape
A seemingly unfinished canvas found in a second hand shop, looked as though it needed further development.
The simple original composition was strong but mightily raw; it looked as it had possibilities.

A painting that was created by default. ‘Painting History – A’ is a stylized composition based on the year of the artist’s birth; trial paint colours from various other works being added over a period of six years.
Girls I would have liked to have known Better
By adding images taken from a pack of 1950’s ‘glamour’ playing cards to an old art college exercise depicting this one time student’s concept of the female nude, the unearthed canvas became ‘Girls I would have liked to have known Better’. And why not?
